Tesla Model S Plaid successfully passed the moose test

Km77 channel bloggers recently put the almost new Tesla Model S Plaid to the test. The silent American car, shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with an output of about 1020 hp, gave an unexpected surprise.

During the first pass, the driver found that he did not need to remove his hands from the steering wheel to pass an imaginary obstacle, and then return to the starting lane as soon as possible. Thus, despite the shape in the form of a steering wheel of this part, the car showed itself flawlessly. Regenerative braking and rather unobtrusive driver assistants helped him pass the “elk test” with honor. Interestingly, the speed of the first successful race was 78 km/h.

Note that this is only one kilometer per hour over the Spanish channel rate, but it's already much better than some legendary models. Once the driver got the hang of it, he managed not to hit a single cone at an even higher speed, and the best attempt was recorded at a speed of 82 km/h. Compared to the 78 km/h Porsche Taycan, which is one of the biggest Model S competitors in this segment, the Tesla proved to be much more stable.
