Joe Biden's dog, Commander, bitten was removed from the White House , a spokeswoman said Wednesday, after she bit several staffers.
The US president and his wife Jill have sent the 2-year-old German shepherd to an undisclosed location while they consider «next steps» for the presidential dog.
The statement came after CNN and Axios reported that Commander, who arrived at the White House as a cute puppy in 2021, was involved in more bite cases than previously reported.US Secret Service admitted that 11 White House agents were stopped, but CNN reported that the number was actually higher and that the dog had bitten other White House employees.
“The President and First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work in the White House.” The White House and those who protect them every day,” Elizabeth Alexander, Jill Biden's communications director, said in a statement.

There were no other details about the Commander's whereabouts or whether his move was permanent.
The Commander was last seen at the White House on September 30, when photographers spotted him on the Truman Balcony in the President's private quarters.
The Bidens have previously blamed the “stressful” environment in the White House. for their pets' unruly behavior.
Commander is the second of the Bidens' dogs to be kicked out of the White House for biting after Major, another German shepherd, was sent to live with family friends in Delaware.< /p>
The Bidens' beloved dog Champ died in 2021 at age 13.
Commander was introduced with great fanfare in December 2021, when Biden tweeted, «Welcome to the White House.» . ” along with a photo of a puppy running with a tennis ball in its mouth.
