At the end of September, the Siberian trophy raid cup race was held for the first time in the village of Sheregesh, Kemerovo region. The bravest gathered. Those who have strong not only frames, but also nerves. Who has completed all three stages before — in Altai, Tomsk and Novosibirsk — and scored the most points.
The authors of the final cup race from the Kuznetskaya Koleya club spent a month laying a route along the slopes of the most popular Siberian ski resort. According to the organizers, one of the special stages took place in former camps for prisoners harvesting wood. There is a lot of rotten grass on this section.
To participate in the trophy you need a strong frame car. Previously, the most trophy cars were Suzuki Jimny and Mitsubishi Pajero. Now they are practically extinct. Of the foreign brands, only the “70th” remained (Toyota Land Cruiser 70 – author’s note), aka Prado. Two-door, diesel, on bridges. The rest compete in UAZs and NIVAs. Rinat Sharafiev President of the Tomsk Automobile Sports Federation
Based on the road map, athletes had to go through all the specified points in a certain sequence. First place at the end of the season in the TR-1 class and the winning cup went to Tomsk. The crew on the Toyota Land Cruiser 70 with the nickname “Fierce” consists of pilot Alexander Shlyakhov and navigator Maxim Krutko.
For us, the track is gorgeous. Locations changed. High marshes. Although “Fierce” was more expensive when purchased, it has a greater safety margin than the UAZ. There are less costs for spare parts. We'll repaint it in winter. We want it to be bright. Most likely we will change our nickname. In Novokuznetsk they are very invested in the race. Good track, good prizes, reward moment. Alexander Shlyakhov
Since the cup is a challenge cup, it is important not only to win it, but also to keep it for as long as possible. The winner of the race keeps his cup for the next year if he retains the championship, or transfers it to an opponent who beats him on points. This is how the cups travel throughout Siberia. The cup for first place in TR-2 went to Novosibirsk with the crew in a Toyota Land Cruiser 70 with the nickname “Watermelon”. Pilot Ekaterina Volkova and navigator Roman Khudyakov.
The track was beautiful. Different soils. And swamps, and hills, and mud. A beautiful passage along the river. The route is to drive and think. I will definitely come back here again. Ekaterina Volkova
The winner in the absolute class was the Novosibirsk crew on the Typhoon — pilot Evgeny Rybin and navigator Alexander Kuzminykh. The guys took the cup from the Barnaul two-time trophy champion Alexey Razumov.
The impressions from the track are great. Along rivers and mountains. Next year we will participate so that the current cup will remain with us. Evgeny Rybin
