According to preliminary data, the SUV with the new design will be available exclusively as a rechargeable hybrid.
Crossover Lynk & Co 06 debuted in 2020 — this is the most compact SUV in the range of the joint brand Geely and Volvo (the Swedish company, in turn, is owned by the Chinese). And the “six” is the only model of the brand based on the BMA (B-segment Modular Architecture) platform: the Geely Coolray, well known to Russians, is also built on this “cart”. The rest of the Links, we remind you, are based on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform. So soon Chinese customers will be offered a redesigned Lynk & Co 06, and there were a lot of improvements, that is, it is possible that such an SUV will be declared the second generation.

The appearance of the “six” was designed in the style of the Lynk & Co 08, sales of which started in China in September: the younger model received the same sophisticated DRLs and small headlight units, plus a similar front bumper. By the way, in appearance, the new Links have something in common with the Zeekr X electrocross (this brand is owned by Geely) — it has similar head optics.

Lynk & Co 06 also received a new rear bumper and tailgate, and the license plate was moved lower. In addition, the rear lights of the SUV are now made in the form of a single plate, in the middle of which there is a luminous inscription with the brand name. Finally, the exhaust pipes are no longer exposed — they are hidden under the bumper. The length of the transformed crossover is 4350 mm, which is 10 mm longer than its predecessor. The remaining dimensions are the same: width – 1820 mm, height – 1625 mm, wheelbase – 2640 mm.

The interior of the Six has also been significantly redesigned, there is a new front panel, steering wheel, central tunnel and door cards. The usual gearbox selector has been removed — the steering column lever is apparently responsible for changing gears. The crossover also gained a different virtual instrument panel and a giant tablet multimedia system — again, in the style of Lynk & Co 08.

Lynk & Co 06 will be offered as a rechargeable hybrid with a new EM-P unit, which includes a 1.5 petrol turbo engine and two electric motors. Total output – 299 hp. and 568 Nm. It is assumed that the cross with the new design will not have purely gasoline versions. The “traditional” pre-reform SUV is available with a 1.5 turbo engine (181 hp) in combination with a seven-speed robotic gearbox; the previous SUV also has a PHEV version — also with an installation based on a one and a half liter engine, but this cross is weaker (258 hp and 390 Nm).

To the home market Lynk & Co 06 EM-P should be released before the end of this year. It is quite possible that it will not become a replacement, but will complement the line of the pre-restyling crossover: this is a common practice for China.
In Russia, the Lynk & Co is not officially represented today. Before the well-known events began, parent Geely was going to bring this brand to our market, but then such plans were no longer mentioned. However, Gili herself continues to supply new products to the Russian Federation, so there is still a chance for Links to arrive.
