Questions have been raised at some Premier League clubs about English football's lack of response to the Hamas attacks, with no public comments or gestures of sympathy yet to be made by the Football Association or the Premier League.
Without any instructions. FA and Premier League clubs feel they are in a difficult situation given the different backgrounds and beliefs of their fans and players.
Tottenham have not made any public statements regarding the attacks on Solomon or Hamas but are offering support to the 24-year-old, who has made 37 appearances for Israel.
Solomon said in a message posted on Instagram. : “Over the past two days, my country, my family, my friends and my beloved people have lived through hell.
“More than 800 Israelis have been killed — the highest number of murders in one day since the Holocaust! More than 150 people were abducted, including women, children, infants and the elderly. Thousands of missiles and rockets were fired at innocent civilians!
Hamas does not (and never has done) anything in favor of the Palestinian people. Hamas is a terrorist organization with only one mission — to wipe out Jews from the face of the earth.
“Supporting them means supporting terror, just like supporting al-Qaeda, ISIS and the 9/19 attacks. Israel has the right to defend itself! Pray for Israel.”
Ukrainian Arsenal defender Alexander Zinchenko posted a message on Instagram in support of victims in Israel, but subsequently deleted it and made his account private.
