Cars DONGFENG has already covered more than 3,600 kilometers, visiting eight major Russian cities: St. Petersburg, Moscow, Voronezh, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Yelabuga, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg.
Let us remind you that on September 25, a convoy of 8 DONGFENG vehicles started from St. Petersburg. The route of the motor rally includes 10 major Russian cities, 8 of which freight transport has already visited. The main goal of the run that the distributor sets for itself is to introduce Russian customers to the brand’s model range and show that DONGFENG commercial vehicles are not afraid of long distances and heavy loads.
In Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg, as in every city motor rally, current and potential clients got acquainted with the model range and design options of Chinese medium-duty trucks, and representatives of the importer Dongfeng TRUCK RUS shared their plans for the development of the company.

An important part of the presentations were test drives — at least 10 in each city. But not only the Clients managed to test DONGFENG cars, the employees of DONGFENG TRUCK RUS also decided to keep up.
The first thing we did was drive a Z55 curtain van. We evaluated the performance of the Nissan ZD-30 engine in this car. The impression was that it had quite a lot of power reserve for movement.
The second car was a C80 with a Cummins ISF 3.8 engine and a lift truck mounted on its base. Note the correct ratio of gearbox and engine. If we talk about the features of this add-on for highway mode, the car needs to be caught due to a fairly high load and a high center of mass. In terms of the onboard vehicle, everything is as expected, there is a high windage.
The final vehicle was the C120 (maximum wheelbase), with a crane-manipulator installation and a side for transporting long cargo with a length of 6200 mm. It is worth noting: before getting into this car, it is recommended to study the controls, how to change gears, and what operating tips there are. The car is very comfortable, we didn’t experience any discomfort due to its dimensions, the highway mode is understandable.
All these vehicles meet the requirements and expectations for commercial vehicles.

The rally will last until October 18, with stops and car presentations will be held in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk. Already on Monday, October 16, potential customers in Novosibirsk will be able to personally test: curtain van Z55, auto-hydraulic lift C80N, flatbed van + CMU C120L, isothermal van C80N, all-metal and cargo-passenger vans, as well as a passenger bus based on the Central Transport Facility.
