Greta Thunberg (right) calls for “justice and freedom for Palestinians and all civilians”;
Israel announced it would remove all references to Greta Thunberg from school curriculum after the Swedish climate activist expressed support for the Gaza Strip.
Israel's Education Ministry said Ms. Thunberg had deprived claims she has the right to «be a role model for education» after she was photographed holding a «Support Gaza» sign last week.
“Hamas is a terrorist organization responsible for the murder of 1,400 innocent Israelis, including children, women and the elderly, and abducted more than 200 people to Gaza,” the ministry said.
“Such a position disqualifies it no longer to be an educational and moral role model, and she no longer has the right to inspire and teach Israeli students.»
On Friday, Thunberg, 20, posted a photo of herself and three other activists on Twitter, all but one holding pro-Palestinian posters.

Her remarks sparked a strong response from Israeli climate activists, who accused Ms. Thunberg of harming their movement.
In an open letter to Thunberg published over the weekend, more than 100 Israeli activists said they were «deeply offended, shocked and disappointed» by her «appallingly one-sided, ill-informed and superficial» understanding of the conflict.
In a letter written by Initiative Roni Bruell, founder of the Israeli Forum for Women in the Environment, regrets that her position on Israel «stands in stark contrast to your ability to dive deep into the details and get to the core of complex issues.»
Overwhelmingly reacting protests, Ms Thunberg condemned the Hamas attack on Saturday.
«It goes without saying — or so I thought — that I am against the horrific attacks by Hamas,» she said. .

The controversy comes after the Friday for Future movement, which began with Ms. Thunberg's school strikes in 2018, came under fire earlier this year when it official Twitter account called for an end to Israeli “apartheid”, declaring: “Yallah intifada!”
“We, Fridays for Future, as an anti-colonial, international climate justice movement, stand united on the side of the Palestinians and Palestinian resistance against these inhumane crimes,” the movement said.
