The official start to sales of new products in the Russian Federation was given today, October 27. Both hybrids are available on the Russian market in one configuration – the top-end Ultimate.
The rechargeable hybrid crossover Chery Tiggo 8 Pro in Russia was updated just six months after its debut: the fact is that the pre-reform version called Tiggo 8 Pro e+ appeared in the Russian Federation in May of this year. The local office of the Chinese brand announced a refreshed SUV with electrified “filling” and a changed name earlier this week, and now Chery has announced the official start of sales.

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid is visually not much different from the petrol version of Tiggo 8 Pro Max, which entered the Russian market at the end of August: the same volumetric chrome “diamonds” on the large radiator grille, as well as rear lights connected to each other by a wide stripe across the entire width of the tailgate. At the same time, the hydride has a differently designed diffuser, integrated into the lower part of the rear bumper, and also has different exhaust system pipes.
The interior of the seven-seat hybrid crossover has been updated with a new curved large display, which combines both a virtual instrument panel and a touchscreen of the infotainment system (the diagonal of each screen is 12.3 inches). In addition, the Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid was equipped with a revised front panel and tunnel, a new gearbox joystick and other climate control buttons.

Also today, sales of Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid started on the Russian market; the official announcement of this hybrid new product was also at the beginning of this week. Let us remind you that the new version differs from versions with traditional technology due to a different front bumper with inserts made of black glossy plastic with thin decorative stripes located at an angle.

The interior of the five-seater hybrid crossover is the same as that of the “regular” Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Max, the only difference being the washers on the touch-sensitive climate control control unit. As Kolesa.ru noted earlier, in other markets the hybrid “seven” is offered with a different interior, which has received a new display and a modernized front panel.
Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid and Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid share one power plant, it is based on a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo-four with a power of 147 hp, working in tandem with two electric motors. The total output of this system is 235 hp. (for versions for the Russian Federation). The hybrid “eight” has a range of 80 km when driving only on electric power, while the “seven” has 82 km (according to the outdated NEDC cycle). To accelerate from zero to “hundreds” the first crossover takes 7.5 seconds, the second – 7.4 seconds; the maximum speed is the same — 180 km/h.

Both rechargeable crossovers are available on the Russian market in one configuration — the top-end Ultimate. The recommended retail price for the Tiggo 8 Pro Plug-in Hybrid is 5,199,900 rubles, and for the Tiggo 7 Pro Plug-in Hybrid they ask for at least 3,999,900 rubles (the price does not include current programs).
