The tire plant in Kaluga is ready to fully provide Russian residents with Gislaved brand products for the winter season. One of the most popular models in the manufacturer’s line today is the Soft Frost 200 tire.

Winter tires Gislaved Soft Frost 200 designed for modern cars equipped with electronic braking and stability aids such as ABS and ESP. The innovative asymmetrical tread pattern of the model increases their performance, especially when cornering and when maneuvering on winter roads. In addition, the production in Kaluga uses technologies that have previously successfully proven themselves in the production of premium tires.
The Gislaved Soft Frost 200 model is available in sizes from 15 to 19 inches for passenger cars and SUVs. The width of the tire profile varies from 175 millimeters to 265 millimeters, the height – from 45 to 75. This tire is a friction tire, so it is primarily suitable for motorists who make most of their trips in urban environments.
The main technology of the tire, which determines its performance characteristics, is the asymmetric tread pattern. The outer shoulder blades are positioned to optimize vehicle handling. At the same time, the V-shaped pattern of the inner zone increases resistance to aquaplaning and promotes improved removal of water and slush from under the wheel.
A car equipped with Gislaved Soft Frost 200 tires behaves more predictably on slippery roads. Grip on a snowy road is guaranteed by a large number of sipes and a soft rubber compound, which creates “snow pockets” and active gripping edges. As a result, the vehicle's handling improves, braking distance is shortened, and acceleration becomes more dynamic.
The combination of narrow sipes and protruding elements in the tread grooves allows you to move confidently in wet road conditions. At the same time, the increased contact patch allows you to safely brake in case of an emergency. Transverse and inclined sipes on the tread blocks increase the efficiency of stabilization systems such as ABS and ESC. Longitudinal and angular grooves in the tread pattern quickly remove water from the contact patch of the tire with the road, which significantly reduces the risk of aquaplaning when driving at high speed on a wet road.

To do this, as part of the consolidation of tire assets, the tire production plant in Kaluga, LLC Continental Kaluga, was renamed LLC Cordiant Kaluga and transferred under the operational management of JSC Cordiant.
