Sales of the restyled four-door have started in the Middle East. As in other regions, the models have improved their appearance and expanded the list of available equipment.
This compact Nissan sedan has been in its current generation since 2019, it has several names: in the countries of North and South America the model is called Versa, in In Southeast Asia it is known as Almera (it has no relation to the long-dead Russian Almera), and in the Middle East it is Sunny. The American four-door was restyled last year, the Asian version was modernized in the spring of 2023. Now it's the turn of the Middle Eastern sedan.

Externally, the Nissan Sunny has generally changed in the same way as cars in other regions. The model received a new radiator grille: from now on it has horizontal slats, but the chrome-plated V-shaped element is no longer there. At the same time, the grille of the Middle Eastern four-door is devoid of additional shiny inserts on the sides, while in other countries such decor is provided. The front bumper has also been retouched, and the design of the 17-inch wheels has been updated (available on expensive trim levels; the simpler Sunny has 15- or 16-inch ones).

The interior features different finishing materials; in addition, wireless charging for a smartphone has appeared at the base of the central tunnel. Another new piece of equipment is a notification system for “forgotten” passengers in the second row (available in rich versions). As before, the Sunny may have a 7-inch multimedia system, although the Versa and Almera have an 8-inch display. But cruise control is now included in the list of standard equipment (previously it was only on the top version). Depending on the configuration, the sedan’s arsenal also includes a rear view camera, climate control, auto braking and blind spot monitoring systems.

The engine is the same: like the Nissan Versa in the States, the Nissan Sunny is offered with a 1.6 naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine; in the Middle Eastern sedan, the engine produces 118 hp. (in Asia, the model is equipped with a 1.0 petrol turbo engine). The mechanics have been removed – now only the variator.
