The American tuning studio Ringbrothers is a regular at the SEMA tuning show; this year the Ring brothers brought several interesting ones to Las Vegas projects, our favorite was the Dodge Charger Tusk with a 7.0-liter V8 with over 1,000 hp, a custom chassis and lavish carbon fiber decor.
Ringbrothers is based in the village of Spring Green Wisconsin, owned by brothers Jim and Mike Ring, they produce a wide range of parts for tuning classic American cars and are engaged in expensive custom projects – restomods and hot rods. Ringbrothers projects are always very impressive, and it is clear that they were made by people with exquisite taste – the attention to detail is simply amazing, it is a pleasure to look at them.

The Tusk project was created on the basis of the classic 1969 Dodge Charger coupe, its canonical shapes are unmistakably guessed, despite the fact that the volume of external and internal modifications is enormous. Many of the exterior trim pieces are made from carbon fiber, including the new humpback hood, which hides the 7.0-liter supercharged Hellephant V8 from the Mopar catalog, with a maximum output of 1,014 hp. and 1288 Nm. Hellephant in English means “elephant”, and Tusk is “elephant's tusk”.
< p>To install the new engine, Ringbrothers specialists had to properly redraw the engine compartment of the classic muscle car, at the same time the rigidity of the body was increased and preparations were made for installing a new chassis – it was ordered from colleagues from the Roadster Shop from Illinois: the muscle car received a fully independent suspension on double wishbones “in a circle” with adjustable shock absorbers Fox RS SV. The track has been widened and the wheelbase has been increased by moving the front axle 51 mm forward. The Tusk Edition HRE forged wheels specially developed for this model are shod with modern Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

The gearbox is a 6-speed Bowler Tremec T-56 Magnum manual, transmitting all the engine power to the rear wheels through a carbon fiber driveshaft. The brakes, of course, are also new – Baer Extreme 6S with drilled discs and 6-piston calipers. The Ring brothers called the base black body color Black to the Future (rhymes with the name of the legendary science fiction film trilogy Back to the Future, known to us as “Back to the Future”), and the wheels and decorative stripes on the body are painted golden – for the premiere on the eve of Halloween couldn't get any better.

The interior retains the original style of the classic Charger, but unlike the original, all the details here are carefully adjusted, many plastic panels are replaced with lacquered carbon fiber. The black leather upholstery and seats are all new, as are the carbon-fiber steering wheel, Vintage Air climate control and powerful JL Audio.
The Ringbrothers Dodge Charger Tusk took approximately 5,000 hours to make and is priced undisclosed because it is a one-time project, but we believe that for a lot of money you can persuade the Ring brothers to make a duplicate.
