It is expected that in the Russian Federation the frame all-terrain vehicle will be offered in the form of a hybrid and an electric car. The first batch will include about a hundred cars, sales will begin in December.
Last year, the Dongfeng concern launched the Mengshi brand in China, it was created to produce expensive electrified SUVs. And today it was announced that luxury all-terrain vehicles will officially be sold on the Russian market, however, our brand is called differently – M-Hero. The importer of the new brand was Motorinvest. Let us remember that now this company is also a distributor of Dongfeng cars, it also represents the interests of the premium brand Voyah (also owned by Dongfeng), plus in the Lipetsk region it produces cars under its own brand Evolute – and these are still the same Dongfengs.

In the range of the separate Mengshi/M-Hero brand there is now only one model – a frame-based all-wheel drive SUV with air suspension, which in China bears the index 917, but in our country it is simply announced as M-Hero. The length of the five-seater all-terrain vehicle is 4987 mm (with a box on the swinging tailgate – 5066 mm), width – 2080 mm, height – 1934 mm, wheelbase – 2950 mm. Ground clearance varies from 221 to 326 mm.
The all-terrain vehicle comes in the form of a hybrid or a full-fledged electric car. Judging by Motorinvest's press release, they plan to sell both modifications in the Russian Federation, although the local M-Hero website so far only has a description of the hybrid SUV. This SUV has three electric motors with a total power of 816 hp. (1050 Nm) and a 1.5 petrol engine, which is not connected to the drive wheels: the internal combustion engine only works as a generator to recharge a battery with a capacity of 65 kWh. Our hybrid also features a steering rear axle, a Magic Carpet body stabilization system, a driving mode selection system (snow, mud, sand, stones, ford) and a Crab Mode (diagonal driving, like the GMC Hummer EV). An electronically controlled electric winch will be offered as an option. It is reported that the hybrid will reach the first “hundred” in 6 seconds, the total power reserve is 750 km on the WLTP cycle.

The purely “green” version has four electric motors, the total output is 1088 hp. In China, this option is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 142.7 kWh; on one charge the SUV will travel about 450 km on the WLTP cycle. The electric car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

The first batch of M-Hero SUVs will reach Russia in December, it will include about 100 cars. The new product will be sold in 18 official Voyah dealer centers, the list of cities includes: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Izhevsk, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Tolyatti, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl. Prices and configurations will be revealed closer to the start date of sales. In its native China, the hybrid M-Hero 917 today costs 637,700 yuan (approximately 8,075,000 rubles at the current exchange rate), the electric all-terrain vehicle will cost 697,700 yuan (8,835,000 rubles).
