A couple of weeks ago, the Japanese company demonstrated several concepts, including the Land Cruiser Se electric crossover. We decided to imagine what the production version of the car will be like.
The Land Cruiser model has been present in the Toyota range since 1951. Throughout history, it has been an SUV built on a frame. However, in the near future, the legendary name will go to a completely different car — it will be a crossover with an all-electric powertrain. The recently demonstrated concept provides an opportunity to evaluate the main features of its appearance.

The new product has practically nothing in common with other Land Cruiser models, except perhaps for the curved window sill line, which evokes associations with the new Prado, presented recently. Otherwise, the appearance is designed in the style of many other electric vehicles: narrow headlights united by an LED strip, a flat bumper without a radiator grille, and lights in the form of a single strip. While we can only guess how much the production version will differ from the concept, we have depicted a crossover with traditional door handles and mirrors, as well as slightly larger optics. In addition, the renderings show a variant with a black contrasting roof.

The technical characteristics of the crossover have not yet been disclosed, but the dimensions of the prototype are known: the length of the prototype is 5150 mm, the width is 5150 mm 1990 mm, height — 1705 mm, and the distance between the axles is 3050 mm. Of the current Toyota model range, the new Grand Highlander crossover is closest to the electric Land Cruiser — 5116 x 1989 x 1781 mm, wheelbase 2949 mm. For comparison, the length of the new Land Cruiser 300 is “only” 4965 mm.

Meanwhile, Toyota plans to present global crossover Crown SUV and has already published teasers of the new product.
