MOSCOW, November 9 Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated composer and People's Artist of the USSR Alexandra Pakhmutova on her birthday, noting that her work awakens bright feelings in the hearts of people and gives them warmth, the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
“Dear Alexandra Nikolaevna! Please accept sincere congratulations on your birthday. Your inspired creativity enjoys truly nationwide love, awakens the brightest feelings in people's hearts, gives them warmth,” the telegram says.
The Russian leader wished Pakhmutova good health and good spirits.
Alexandra Pakhmutova is a Soviet and Russian composer, who has more than 400 songs to her credit. Pakhmutova – Hero of Socialist Labor, People's Artist of the USSR, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, two State Prizes of the USSR and the Lenin Komsomol Prize, holder of two Orders of Lenin and the Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called.
