The press service of the Israel Defense Forces released a statement stating the decision to conduct a “precise and targeted” operation at the al-Shifa hospital.

Recall that this hospital complex is the largest in the Gaza Strip. According to reports, hundreds of Palestinians are currently sheltering there.

Al Jazeera previously announced that the Israeli military had already positioned itself near the hospital.

The IDF added that they intend to carry out the operation carefully so as not to harm the civilians in the al-Shifa hospital.
