MOSCOW, November 16 Holder of the World Boxing Association championship belt ( WBA Super) light heavyweight, Russian Dmitry Bivol said that he considers the fight with Briton Lyndon Arthur as a step towards the title of absolute champion.
Bivol will defend his title against Arthur on December 23 in Riyadh. Initially, a fight between Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Briton Tyson Fury was planned for this date, but it was postponed. Bivol could hold his next fight against the winner of the fight between Russian Artur Beterbiev and Briton Callum Smith, who will meet on January 13. Beterbiev is a champion according to the World Boxing Council (WBC), the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF).
““I just want to get into the ring and show myself, my boxing skills. I want to have a good fight and continue towards my goal,” Bivol said at a press conference, speaking about the prospect of fighting for the title of absolute champion in light heavyweight.

Bivol is 32 years old, during his professional career he won 21 victories (11 by knockout) in 21 fights.
