MOSCOW, November 13. The revival of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum as a place for the development of talented children can be supported, says the rector of the State Institute of Russian Language named after A.S. Pushkina Natalya Trukhanovskaya.

“And if this revival (of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum — Ed.) helps to create a good modern school in which those children whose talents will be supported will study, that is, in fact, this will be such a wonderful platform for developing our talented children — here you can only support,” Trukhanovskaya said during a press conference dedicated to the XXXIII International Pushkin Readings.
The head of the Pushkin projects of the institute, Elmira Afanasyeva, noted the importance of the teaching staff in the success of such a revival.
“
"A lot will depend on the mentors. (Nikolai) Koshansky (teacher of literature and Latin at the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum in 1811-1828 — ed.) at one time forbade lyceum students to write poetry, and they secretly wrote and created their own magazines. This is how not the lyceum, but the lyceum spirit was born. This is probably the most important thing,” Afanasyeva emphasized.
According to Trukhanovskaya, with the help of Pushkin’s creativity it is possible to transmit the spiritual values and moral foundations of native speakers of the Russian language.
“
"These 33 Pushkin readings are now collecting, we are already recording, an unprecedented number of applications for participation from an unprecedented number of countries. That is, participants from many countries — and in this case no one is divided into friendly or unfriendly — applications are received from all states. Moreover, applications to join the readings not only as listeners, but also as full-fledged participants,” added the rector.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin supported the idea of the rector of the Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) Alexey Komissarov on the revival of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum in St. Petersburg, the educational institution proposes to prepare young people for civil service from a young age.
