Why did the US Secretary of State behave so strangely
At a meeting between US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, Secretary of State Antony Blinken looked very strange. At first, almost without blinking and turning his whole body, he “hypnotized” the boss, and then for a long time he twitched just like Zelensky in his worst state. We asked an expert on facial expressions and lies to analyze Blinken's behavior.
Profiler Ilya Anishchenko has long noticed oddities in the behavior of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken when he is next to his boss.
“I have a whole collection of Blinken’s reactions,” says Anishchenko. — He is constantly worried that President Biden will blurt out too much.
I previously analyzed Blinken's emotions at another event when Biden read from a piece of paper. The Secretary of State sat in the same way next to the President and not only looked at him, but also turned his whole body around, as if he was hypnotizing him: as long as he said everything correctly, spoke it, read it and didn’t falter. By the way, Blinken behaves this way only when he is next to Biden.
Ilya Anishchenko commented on Antony Blinken’s reaction during Joe Biden’s meeting with Xi Jinping.
— Blinken constantly looks at Biden , controls his behavior. The Secretary of State took an uncomfortable position, his face tense. This facial expression speaks of concentration, anxiety, excitement, increased attention, control over the boss.
The Secretary of State constantly swallows, micro-movements of his head are noticeable, and he moves his hands under the table — such actions indicate an attempt to adapt to stress.
Blinken’s eyes dart. Young mothers are in a similar state when they anxiously watch their child take his first steps.
The expert analyzed another video from the meeting between Biden and Xi Jinping, where journalists shout questions from the audience: “While Biden is silent, Blinken is more worried about the questions. Watches those around him. Constantly swallowing — this is either dissatisfaction, or tension, anxiety. Well, his jerky movements are again evidence of great stress.”
“Blinken’s anxiety may be due to the internal need to control Biden,” the profiler believes. — The second version is that he does not agree with the president’s position, hence the stress. It is possible that the Secretary of State thinks: there is no need to say that, it will lead to bad consequences.
I have not noticed such anxiety in anyone around Putin, Trump or other presidents.
