ST. PETERSBURG, November 17 Russian authorities will look for additional reserves for the development of culture, support creative people and organizations, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“»At the state level, we pay the closest attention to culture. Significant funds are spent on its development; we, of course, do not plan to reduce it. On the contrary, we will look for additional reserves and support creative people people and organizations, programs for the protection of monuments and the development of historical cities. Launch unique projects based on digital solutions,» Putin said during the plenary session of the cultural forum.
The President cited the example of the Pushkin Card program, which allows young people 14 -22 years old to visit museums, theaters, concert halls and other cultural institutions at the expense of the state.
According to him, such public education programs not only open up the arts to young people, they serve to affirm the principles of equality and social justice.
The Ninth St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum takes place from November 16 to 18.
