Phillip Fisher Jr., Served Three years in prison, volunteers at a summit of a right-wing parental rights group in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia-based advocacy leader for Moms for Liberty, a conservative parental rights advocacy group that insists on eliminating discussions of gender and diversity. from the school curriculum – exposed as a registered sex offender.

Philip Fisher Jr. is a pastor and leader of a local Republican parish who volunteered at this year's national summit, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer Moms for Freedom in Philadelphia – pleaded guilty in 2012 to charges of aggravated sexual assault involving a 14-year-old boy when he was 25 and living in Chicago.

Sheila Armstrong, chairwoman of the Philadelphia chapter of Moms for Freedom, confirmed to the Inquirer that Fisher still planned to volunteer with her autism chapter. Christmas party has arrived.

Armstrong said she was surprised to learn of Fisher's criminal record because she had received a “child abuse history certificate” from the Pennsylvania Department of Social Services in his name, which found no record of him “as the perpetrator of the reported or substantiated report ” child abuse.”

However, Fisher is registered as a sex offender on the Illinois State Police list and on the U.S. Department of Justice's national sex offender website. He told The Inquirer that he never intentionally hid anything about his past.

“I'm in the database,” he added. “This is a simple search.”

In response, Moms for Liberty published Fischer's testimony on X, adding that the news outlets that picked up the story “don't want to hold [state] leaders accountable.”

“ This the individual is not the chapter chairman—he was a volunteer for the Philadelphia chapter,” the group added. “Our chapter chairman conducted a Pennsylvania [Homeland Security] background check and he was cleared under the Child Protective Services Act.”

Moms for Liberty co-founder Tina Deskovic also said Armstrong runs all of her chapter's volunteers through the state Department of Social Services “to make sure they're being honest.”

Fisher said. she is “certified by the state as ALL CLEAN.” It's amazing how much time is spent trying to destroy us. The story should be about the [state] system certifying this guy.”

According to court records, Fischer pleaded guilty to one of 12 charges brought against him following an investigation by Chicago Police. Charging documents allege that Fischerhad oral and anal sex with the victim in this case in January 2011.

Fisher served a three-year prison sentence followed by two years of supervised release.

He told the Inquirer that the charges against him were fabricated – a “railroad job” – and brought forward by the political action committee of Lyndon LaRouche, a US presidential candidate who is now widely considered a conspiracy theorist.

“I was a victim at the time,” he told the Inquirer. “Essentially, they fabricated charges to silence the complaints I had made about human rights issues.”

Fisher said LaRouche's organization was a “cult.” and he was set up trying to get out of it. “It was a political situation that happened between me and Lyndon LaRouche,” he told the Inquirer. “The accusation was made by a member of his camp, his party. They pushed it through. It was real railroad work.”

Earlier this year, the Southern Poverty Law Center listed the organization as an “anti-government extremist.” He has dedicated himself to supporting the U.S. book ban while working to eliminate discussions about race, discrimination and LGBTQ+ identity in public education.

Philadelphia Republican Committee said it requested and received a statement on Fischer's resignation.

According to the report, Donald Trump and his fellow White House hopefuls spoke at the Moms for Freedom summit where Fischer volunteered from the Republican Party in 2024 Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis.
