Mohamed Salah was protected by his teammates and was escorted off the field by the military after he was attacked by pitch invaders during Egypt's victory over Sierra Leone.

Footage from the 89th minute of the match shows security rushing onto the pitch to stop a pitch invader in midfield. More fans then run onto the pitch as Egypt's centre-back Mohamed Abdelmonem ensures that no pitch invader gets close to Salah.
