    A case of treason was opened against a former kickboxing coach who joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

    MAKHACHKALA, November 22 Against the former head coach of the Dagestan national team kickboxing Akhmed Akhmedov has been charged with treason for participating in hostilities on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a source in the republic's law enforcement agencies said.
    According to the agency, Akhmedov is still part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a battalion commander.
    Akhmedov previously worked as a director children's and youth sports school in the Kizlyar region of Dagestan, as well as the head coach of the republic's kickboxing team in the full contact section. Among his students are champions of Russia, Europe and the world.
