The embassy commented on the attempt to cancel Russian Week in Singapore

MOSCOW, November 22The attempt of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission to disrupt the Russian Week in Singapore failed, as evidenced by the increased interest of local residents in events dedicated to Russian culture, the Russian Embassy in Singapore said.
Earlier, the Russian embassy in Singapore condemned the attempt of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission to celebrate Russian Week. In particular, the event dedicated to Russian films takes place on November 22-24. On its page on the social network, the Ukrainian Embassy in Singapore issued a call to boycott the films.
«As for the activities of the Ukrainian Embassy, ​​it apparently is a continuation of Kiev’s general line of abolishing everything Russian. The Kiev authorities, obviously, have no other arguments. Full halls of our events indicate the failure of Ukrainian attempts to disrupt the holiday of Russian culture» , noted the Russian diplomatic mission. The embassy emphasized that the very fact of holding Russian Week in Singapore indicates that interest in Russian culture and its creative agenda in the Asia-Pacific region is “undoubtedly present.”
