The JAC JS3 crossover has reached Russia: configurations and prices

The compact SUV is offered with a single 1.6 aspirated engine, but you can choose a box.

The Russian representative office of the Chinese company JAC held a presentation of the JS3 cross and announced the start of sales. Let us remind you that the new index hides the restyled JAC S3 SUV, and such a five-door car took a long time to reach us: it was first certified back in 2021.

Externally, the JAC JS3 crossover differs from the pre-reform “SS-3” primarily in the design of the front part. The model received a more solid radiator grille and two-story optics: strips of running lights are located on top, and blocks of main headlights are located below. The bumpers and taillights were also replaced. A new front panel and steering wheel have appeared in the cabin, in addition, the multimedia system tablet now “floats”, whereas in the previous S3 it was built into the panel.

After restyling, the cross length increased by 20 mm to 4345 mm. The height, on the contrary, has become smaller by the same 20 mm – now 1640 mm. The width and wheelbase remained the same — 1765 and 2560 mm, respectively. The passport ground clearance of the JAC JS3 is only 155 mm. The declared trunk volume is 600 liters.

In Russia, the SUV is offered with a non-alternative 1.6 aspirated engine, which produces 109 hp. and 150 Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual or CVT from Punch. Front-wheel drive only.

There are two configurations to choose from. In the basic Comfort version, the crossover comes only with a manual transmission; the list of equipment includes: halogen headlights and LED DRLs, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, rear parking sensors, fabric upholstery, air conditioning, audio system, a pair of airbags, ESC and cruise control. The price of the most affordable JAC JS3 is 1,799,000 rubles (hereinafter all prices are indicated excluding promotions).

The Luxury version adds a folding mirror function , upholstery from eco-leather, climate control, multimedia system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a rear view camera. A JAC JS3 Luxury with a manual costs 1,899,000 rubles, with a CVT — 1,999,000 rubles.

For comparison, the small Livan SUV The X3 Pro with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine (103 hp) and a CVT today costs from 1,879,900 rubles, and the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro crossover with a 1.5 naturally aspirated engine (113 hp) and a 5-speed manual gearbox will cost at least 2,120,000 rubles .
