The premium brand Exeed, owned by the Chinese company Chery, appeared in 2017. One of the brand’s export markets is the Russian Federation; today the local representative office on social networks announced the imminent entry into the Russian market of the new large crossover Exeed VX. It is known that this model will reach dealers in the Russian Federation next month.

It is still difficult to say which version of the updated Exeed VX will appear on the Russian market. Thus, a restyled large crossover is already on sale in China: its massive chrome radiator grille has a pattern of vertical lines, while the pre-reform version has a slightly different shape and horizontal slats.

The length of the Chinese version of the updated crossover is 4970 mm, width – 1940 mm, height – 1792 mm, and the distance between the axles – 2900 mm. The main change that the SUV received during the restyling is the new interior, which is now decorated “Mercedes-like”. Thus, the Exeed VX was equipped with a new front panel with three different-sized displays under a single glass, which replaced the two-screen display. There is no longer a separate climate control unit; settings are changed using the central touchscreen of the infotainment system.

In the restyled crossover, they decided to place the seat adjustment controls on the doors (like in Mercedes-Benz models), the seats themselves are new, as well as the steering wheel with touch buttons. The right steering column lever is responsible for changing the position of the gearbox in the updated Exeed VX. The Chinese car received heating and ventilation of the first and second rows, the front seats also have a massage function.

However, this is not the only version of the updated Exeed VX: sales of the International Edition started in China at the beginning of this month. At the same time, the company announced that this particular option would soon be exported. Most likely, this is the version that will reach the Russian market next month.

The global design of the restyled Exeed VX differs from the “regular” crossover in the radiator grille with a pattern of horizontal lines (it looks different than the pre-reform version). The interior of this large SUV is also decorated like a Mercedes, but it has black leather upholstery, not brown. Otherwise, the interiors are identical.

The technology for both versions of the updated VX is the same – a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo-four with an output of 261 hp. (maximum torque – 400 Nm). Let us remind you that the pre-reform crossover in the Russian Federation has 249 hp. and 385 Nm. As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, in the spring the Chinese version replaced the seven-speed robot with two clutches with an eight-speed automatic from Aisin; Most likely, a similar gearbox will appear in the global Exeed VX. The International Edition version may only have all-wheel drive, while the regular crossover also has front-wheel drive modifications.
Note that the current Russian lineup still includes the pre-reform Exeed VX. According to the official website, the starting price of such a large crossover is 5.3 million rubles.
