SOCHI, November 28 Investigators opened a criminal case for torturing a minor against a mother who hid the child from her husband in a Sochi hotel and performed rituals on him, the woman was arrested, the press reported. service of the Sustainable Control Service of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.
Earlier, the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that after a Moscow resident contacted the police, his common-law wife was detained in one of the hotels in Sochi, who was hiding from him with their common 2-year-old child. In the room, law enforcement officers found a mother and a frightened boy, whose body was covered with wax; he was hospitalized with signs of a cold.
The investigation established that the mother performed ritual ceremonies on the child, tied her up, forbade her to move, and spilled hot wax on her head.
“”Based on the results of an inspection about the discovery of a young child and a mother performing ritual acts in one of the hotels, a criminal case was initiated. A 32-year-old woman was charged with committing a crime under paragraph “g” of Part 2 of Article 117 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture of a minor),” the message says.
It is noted that during the interrogation the woman fully admitted her guilt. “At the request of the investigator, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against her. The child is currently with her father in the city of Moscow,” said the Kuban Investigation Department.
A psychological and psychiatric examination has been appointed.
