So, Sinomach Automobile is a subsidiary of the Chinese concern Sinomach, which produces industrial equipment and also imports cars of the world's leading brands into China (by the way, the concern is under the control of the Chinese government, it is also included in the world ranking of the largest Fortune 500 enterprises) . Russia will be the first export market for the company, and our cars will appear under a separate Oting brand. Well, the first-born of the new brand will be the Paladin frame SUV, that is, a converted Nissan Terra.

Let us remind you that in China today the Paladin is presented not under the Japanese brand, but as a Dongfeng model; all-terrain vehicles are produced locally by Zhengzhou Nissan, a joint venture between Nissan and Dongfeng. It is reported that in the Russian Federation the SUV will be available only from Oting dealers; the Russian division of Sinomach Automobile also noted that the company has a distribution agreement with the Zhengzhou Nissan JV for a period of five years. Meanwhile, the Russian company Motorinvest, a distributor of Dongfeng, announced plans to bring Paladin to us. Whether these plans remain in force is still unknown.

In terms of its dimensions, the Oting Paladin SUV is comparable to the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, the previous Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and the Haval H9. The length of the Paladin is 4882 mm, width – 1850 mm, height – 1875 mm, wheelbase – 2850 mm. The passport ground clearance is 215 mm. Only a five-seat version has been announced for us, however, there is no three-row version in China today either.
As in China, in Russia the all-terrain vehicle will be available with a 2.0 petrol turbo-four from the Shenyang Aerospace Mitsubishi joint venture, which produces 228 hp. and 360 Nm, the engine is combined with a classic eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. We will offer the Oting Paladin in four trim levels, the basic Deluxe has rear-wheel drive, the others — Premium, Intellect and Prestige — are all-wheel drive (part-time with a rigid connection of the front axle), with a rear differential lock.

The list of equipment for the cheapest option includes halogen headlights, rear parking sensors, a pair of airbags, eco-leather upholstery, a multimedia system with a 10-inch vertical touchscreen, wireless charging for smartphones, a rear view camera and cruise control. The next version features LED headlights, genuine leather upholstery and electrically adjustable driver's seat. Rich options have a virtual tidy (7 inches), a 12-inch multimedia tablet, side and curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, all-round cameras and adaptive cruise control. The preliminary price range of Oting Paladin is from 3.8 million to 4.5 million rubles. The first deliveries are expected in mid-January next year; first, showrooms of the new brand will open in Moscow and St. Petersburg, then dealers will appear throughout the country. In 2024, Sinomach Automobile plans to bring two more models “on the Nissan platform.” In addition, the company will consider organizing local assembly in the future.
