MOSCOW, November 26. The Russian Ministry of Culture, within the framework of the national project “Culture”, purchased more than 2.8 million for libraries that are being modernized according to the standard, the State Statistics Service told reporters -Secretary, Deputy Minister Nadezhda Rev.
“”In total, from 2019 to the end of 2023, 1080 model municipal libraries will be modernized throughout the country. We have already updated 1050 institutions. At the same time, the ministry has paid great attention not only to the modernization, design and digitalization of libraries, but also, of course, to the renovation book fund. In total, more than 2.8 million new books were purchased for model libraries within the framework of the national project,” she said.
According to her, in 2024, another 149 model libraries will be opened, 12 of which will be modernized in new regions.
Also, since 2019, as part of the national project, over 50 thousand musical instruments have been supplied to children's art schools and colleges. The reverend added that more than 65% of them are domestically produced.
The department stated that by 2024, more than 1,800 children's art schools and colleges throughout the country will be equipped with new tools and equipment.
“Today, throughout the country, we have equipped more than 1.5 thousand educational organizations – children's art schools and colleges – with new musical instruments. Deliveries are ongoing,” the deputy minister added.
