The American tuning studio Hennessey Performance “at the request of the workers” properly pumped up the large sports frame SUV Cadillac Escalade-V: its return compressor engine LT4 V8 exceeded the coveted 1000 hp.
The Cadillac Escalade-V debuted last year and immediately became a cult car, entering the golden pantheon of the American auto industry, because previously the Escalade had factory “ there were no charged versions. There won’t be any in the future, since the electric Cadillac Escalade IQ is already stepping on the heels of the “hydrocarbon” Escalade. In general, the current gasoline Cadillac Escalade-V still available for purchase is the first and last of its kind.
The Escalade-V comes stock with a 6.2-liter LT4 V8 with a 2.65-liter Eaton engine bolted to it. The maximum output of this gas guzzler is 691 hp. and 885 Nm, paired with a specially tuned 10-speed hydromechanical “automatic”, the center clutch in the all-wheel drive system has a constant preload, the rear cross-axle differential is equipped with an electronically controlled lock. The Escalade-V also features a retuned adaptive air suspension, powerful Brembo brakes and sporty trim with quad tailpipes in the rear bumper.

The first owners of the Escalade-V immediately began pestering the Hennessey studio with requests to “push” the engine of this miracle SUV to at least a thousand “horses,” and finally their prayers were heard: yesterday, John Hennessey’s team of engineers rolled out an upgrade for the Escalade-V.
The list of modifications is quite impressive: the LT4 V8 received a new, custom camshaft, modified cylinder heads, new valves and valve springs, new lifters and rocker arms, a new intake system, higher-performance fuel injectors, a more efficient cooling system, upgraded exhaust catalysts and new management program. As a result, the output increased to 1019 hp. at 6400 rpm and 1196 Nm at 4300 rpm. Hennessey does not indicate how the dynamic qualities have changed; the stock Escalade-V accelerates to 60 mph (96.56 km/h) in 4.4 seconds. The chassis and body remain standard.

The tuning studio also does not name the cost of the upgrade for the Escalade-V, but it is clear that this is not a budget solution. In stock, the Escalade-V now costs in the US from $153,520, and with an upgrade from Hennessey — clearly more than $200,000.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of the year, John Hennessy’s company introduced a conditionally budget upgrade for “on duty” Escalade with a 6.2-liter atmospheric V8: with the help of a drive supercharger and a number of other modifications, its output is brought to the level of the Escalade-V.
