The business class minivan of the premium Chinese brand is presented in the Russian Federation in three versions. The starting price is 7,890,000 rubles.
The Russian model line of the Hongqi brand owned by the FAW concern (the local representative insists on the pronunciation “Honchi”; translated as “red banner”) has been replenished with a business class minivan, called the HQ9. Let us remind you that this model was presented on the “celestial” market in the summer of 2022, and went on sale in September of the same year.

Hongqi HQ9 is a seven-seater minivan, the exterior of which is designed in accordance with the brand's signature design. Thus, the model received a huge radiator grille with a pattern in the form of chrome-plated vertical bars. The hood is cut in two by a strip that turns into an element in the center of the “grill”. On the sides there are LED head optics, the headlights are made in the “Soaring Wings” style. The sides are decorated with relief stampings and “solid” external door handles. The stern was equipped with a spoiler, which visually resembles a continuation of the roof, as well as rear lights, which are connected to each other due to a wide red stripe and a thin chrome curved line.

The overall length of the business van is 5222 mm, width – 2005 mm, height – 1935 mm, and the distance between the axles is 3200 mm. The Hongqi HQ9 has sliding side doors, a low glazing line, and a panoramic sunroof measuring 1090 by 870 mm is integrated into the roof. The premium brand has equipped its model with a three-zone air conditioning system, an active air purification control system with an ionizer and air flavor with adjustable operating modes. Walnut veneer is used for decorative inserts in the interior.

The minivan's seats have four lumbar support adjustments and two headrest position options on the side doors. For passengers seated in individual seats in the second row, there are footrests with four-position adjustment in length and angle of inclination. There are electrical adjustments of the seats in 16 directions, including the angle of the backrest, as well as the ability to move them to a “horizontal” position for relaxation.
In addition, the seats of the business van received a pneumatic massage function with twenty directions, five modes and three intensity levels. Even in expensive versions, passengers in the second row can use the multifunctional climate control panel, multimedia system and comfort options, which are built into the armrests.
The “stuffing” of the Hongqi HQ9 for the Russian Federation is the same, regardless of the version. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter petrol in-line turbo-four, operating as part of a mild-hybrid power plant in tandem with a 48-volt electric booster. The engine output is 245 hp and the maximum torque is 380 Nm. This minivan takes 9.5 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h.
On On the Russian market, Hongqi HQ9 is presented in three trim levels – Comfort, Deluxe and Executive. As the local representative office of the brand said, the cost of the starting version is 7,890,000 rubles, the purchase of a medium version will cost no less than 8,490,000 rubles, and the price tag for the top version starts at 8,990,000 rubles.
