The NORBIT company (part of the LANIT group) presented its own IT product for last mile delivery management — Norbit CDS. With the help of the solution, Russian businesses will be able to optimize logistics processes at the final stage of deliveries (from the warehouse to the final consumer), reduce costs, and increase customer loyalty.
Norbit CDS is built on a microservices architecture in Java and can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud. In a single system, the user can plan the loading of vehicles, route deliveries depending on input conditions and external factors. The service allows you to control orders in real time, regardless of whether they are carried out by your own transport or by third-party courier companies. The system also helps to constantly maintain contact with the forwarder and, if necessary, take action in the event of a threat of missed deadlines.
Unlike many products on the market, Norbit CDS also works offline. The solution includes four key modules — planning, monitoring, administration and mobile application. They can be customized to the personal requirements of specialists working in the system. They have access to a flexible choice of models when planning a route: manual, combinatorial, numerical or probabilistic methods, the Yandex algorithm for constructing optimal routes, an option based on the free OpenStreetMaps solution and the GraphHopper mechanism.
Norbit CDS automatically integrates with master data directories. It is convenient to use thanks to a simple, friendly interface, where all the necessary information is displayed in the form of clear infographics. Pricing will depend on the selected package of tariff units (orders).
