MOSCOW, December 2, Svetlana Bonopartova. Russian figure skater Alina Zagitova stated that winning the Olympic Games had been her dream throughout her career.
The annual gala evening of the Russian Union of Athletes is being held in Moscow on Saturday with the support of the Russian Ministry of Sports and the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC). Zagitova was recognized as the best athlete of the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, which she won, and Eteri Tutberidze, who raised her, was the best coach of those Games.
“”The Olympic Games have been my dream throughout my entire career. We still train from early morning until late at night, and when we achieve this goal, we are very happy. And although figure skating is an individual sport, I would not be able to achieve goals without a team of coaches, family and fans. I am incredibly grateful to them,” Zagitova said at the ceremony.
