UFA, December 4 Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the beating of a passenger in Ufa by a taxi driver, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Bashkiria reported.
“A Ufa woman came to the police department No. 6 of the city of Ufa with a statement that she was beaten by a taxi driver. Police officers identified a suspect in causing her bodily harm and brought him to the department,” the regional police said.
Law enforcement officers issued a referral to the victim to undergo a forensic medical examination. “A procedural decision will be made on this fact,” the press service added.
A video of the incident circulated on social networks. In the footage, the driver gets out of the car, kicks and hits the woman several times. The victim falls and the taxi driver drives away. It is alleged that the conflict occurred over crumpled bills with which the passenger paid.
