An electric car with a “Porsche” design has already made it outside the Middle Kingdom: the model is available for order in Thailand. Later, the “electric train” will appear in other markets.
In its native China, this model of the “green” Ora brand, owned by the Great Wall concern, launched last fall, where the electric car is called Lightning Cat, it is a four-door fastback (the trunk lid rises separately from the rear window). In the same 2022, the brand announced export plans: a production car with a “Porsche” look was demonstrated in the Old World and Thailand, and under different names – Next Cat and Grand Cat, respectively. Now the electric fastback is entering the Thai market, and in 2024 it is also expected in other countries where the brand is present, including in Europe. At the same time, the export version was given a new name – Ora 07.

Recall that the fastback is based on the Lemon platform, on which many Great Wall models are built. The length of the Ora 07/Lightning Cat is 4871 mm, width – 1862 mm, height – 1500 mm, wheelbase – 2870 mm. Thus, in size, the “Chinese” is comparable to the Toyota Camry sedan of the outgoing generation.
In Thailand, Ora 07 is available in two versions. The base Long Range has one electric motor on the front axle, it produces 204 hp. and 340 Nm. The Performance option is all-wheel drive, that is, with two electric motors, the total output is 408 hp. and 680 Nm. The “seven” has one battery – a lithium-ion one with a capacity of 83.49 kWh (in China, the model also has a lithium-iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 64.31 kWh). The Ora 07 Long Range has a range of 640 km, and the Ora 07 Performance has a range of 550 km. True, in both cases, the power reserve is calculated according to the outdated NEDC cycle, that is, in reality, the fastback will travel less.

The list of standard equipment for the Ora 07 includes LED optics, a panoramic roof, leather upholstery, virtual instruments, a multimedia system with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, climate control, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control , auto braking and lane keeping systems. Ora 07 Performance – these are 19-inch wheels instead of 18-inch ones, plus a retractable spoiler, a head-up display, ventilated front seats with a massage function, and a parking assistant.

The “green” brand Great Wall is also represented in Russia; the brand entered our market in October 2023 with the compact electric hatch Ora 03 (in China – Haomao). Probably, Ora 07 will also reach the Russian Federation, but next year.
