Lamborghini is the first in the industry to introduce a 4-day work week. And increases bonuses!

Growing revenues and record sales allowed Lamborghini to be the first in the European auto industry to begin transferring employees to a 4-day work week, while making money employees will receive more, not less. Employees of other automobile companies can only envy their colleagues from Lamborghini for now.

“Work less, work better” is the slogan used by Italian labor organizations to announce a historic deal with Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., whose employees will be the first in the industry to switch to a shorter, 4-day working week. The transition is not complete yet, but even it will give people dozens of “extra” free days a year.

According to Reuters, Lamborghini employees, working on a rotating two-shift schedule, will alternate between a 5-day work week and a 4-day work week, giving them 22 extra days off per year. For employees working on a three-shift schedule, where there are night shifts, a 5-day working week will alternate with two 4-day ones, the number of days off per year for such employees will increase by 31.

Lamborghini's work optimization plan also includes an increase in regular bonus payments by 50% and a one-off bonus of 1,000 euros at the end of this month. In short, seamstresses, motorists, assemblers, cutters, pattern makers, cleaners and other employees of the factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese will celebrate the New Year on a high note and with excellent prospects — one can only be happy for them.

The transition to a 4-day working week is an emerging pan-European trend, but the automotive industry is not yet supporting it; Lamborghini has become a pioneer in this sense. The experience of such a transition in other industries (for example, in the banking sector) shows that employees who work four days a week instead of five are better motivated, have better and better rest, and therefore often achieve greater success than their colleagues who work five or five days a week. more than days a week.

Lamborghini today can easily afford the industry's first experiment with reduction working hours, and even in combination with an increase in the salary of employees. Last year was a record year for the Italian company in terms of profits and sales, and 2023 is likely to be even more successful. Based on the results of the first three quarters of this year, Lamborghini sold 7,744 cars in the world (+4.2% compared to last year), turnover for the same period exceeded 2 billion euros for the first time, the order book is full for several years to come.

Meanwhile, the parent brand of the Volkswagen concern, which includes Lamborghini, is now, on the contrary, losing money and forced to reduce costs and lay off employees.
