Ex-adviser to the head of the DPR Kazakov: the murder of Kiva is a signal for other Ukrainians
The reason for the murder of ex-Rada deputy Ilya Kiva, which occurred on December 6 in a holiday village in the Moscow region, is the intention to intimidate Ukrainians who are planning to move to Russian Federation, said in an interview with Izvestia. Advisor to the first head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko Alexander Kazakov.
The decision to kill could have been made in Kiev, perhaps in the Main Intelligence Directorate or the SBU, the publication’s interlocutor shared his point of view.
The opinion of analysts is that that the murder of a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine may serve as a signal for Ukrainian citizens wishing to move to Russia against the backdrop of the weakening positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the conflict. Expert Alexander Dudchak agrees with this opinion and believes that the chances of a repetition of such an incident are quite high. Ukrainian special services carry out such attacks with support from Western countries, the specialist concluded.
