The world premiere of the third-generation Duster crossover took place a week ago: the model traditionally debuted under the Romanian brand Dacia, because it is under this brand that public sector vehicles that are well known to Russians (this is also Logan and Sandero) are presented in Europe. And now the first brand images of Renault Duster itself have appeared, at the same time the company has made several important statements – all of them relate to the brand’s work in Turkey. Let's start with them.
The main thing is that by 2027 the company intends to become a leader in the Turkish market, and they plan to turn the local Oyak-Renault plant into a global export center; more than 400 million euros will be allocated for these purposes. As Renault clarified, most of the cars currently produced in Turkey (mostly the Clio hatch) are sent to Europe, but the new plan provides for export “to more than 50 countries”: in particular, the geography of supplies will be expanded to the Middle East and Africa . Well, let’s note that before the well-known events began, the largest foreign market for the Renault Group was Russia, while its bestsellers were made here (including Duster). That is, if Skoda, after leaving the Russian Federation, decided to focus on Southeast Asia, then Renault chose Turkey.

It was also announced that over the next three years, at least four new models will enter the assembly line of the Turkish enterprise, three of which will be crossovers. Renault also expects that 1/3 of all brand sales will come from electrified cars.
Well, now about Duster. The new generation crossover will be the first-born of the range announced above, its production will start in Turkey next year, the local plant will become the main production site for export (Dacia Duster for Europe is made in Romania). It is curious that the predecessor on the Turkish market is now presented under the Romanian brand.

If the Renault and Dacia crosses of the previous generation differ from each other in appearance, then the new SUVs only have different emblems. Moreover, Duster was the first of the French brand’s models to exchange the signature diamond on the front for a large Renault inscription. The interior has not yet been illuminated, and all that is said about the technology is that in Turkey the model will have a hybrid version. However, in other respects, Renault Duster also probably copied its brother from Dacia.
Let us remind you that in the new generation the crossover has moved from the B0 platform to the more modern CMF-B “trolley”. Europeans will be offered a fresh SUV in three modifications, but there is no longer a diesel engine. Dacia Duster TCe 130 is a “mild” hybrid; this version has a 1.2 TCe petrol turbo engine (130 hp), supplemented by a 48-volt starter-generator, and a six-speed manual transmission. The Duster Eco-G 100 is equipped with a 1.0 bi-fuel three-cylinder turbo engine (gasoline and propane; 100 hp) and a manual gearbox.

New Dacia Duster generation 5/5 < p>And at the top of the range is the Dacia Duster Hybrid 140 with an installation that includes a four-cylinder naturally aspirated 1.6 (94 hp), an electric motor (49 hp), a starter-generator and a modest 1.2 kWh battery , total output – 140 hp. All-wheel drive is only available for the mild-hybrid Duster. Later, the crossover with the 1.2 TCe should receive a robotic gearbox.
