The updated large crossover Exeed VX received a Russian price tag

Sales of the restyled version of the SUV of the Chinese premium brand will start in a week, on December 14.

The premium sub-brand Exeed, owned by the Chinese company Chery, appeared in 2017. The Russian market is one of the export markets for the brand; the current local model line includes the LX, TXL, RX and VX crossovers. Now an updated version of the large SUV Exeed VX has reached the Russian Federation; today the brand held a local premiere and announced the initial recommended retail price of the model.

The cost of the restyled version of Exeed VX starts at 6,500,000 rubles. It is worth noting that this price tag is 1.2 million rubles more compared to the current price of the pre-reform VX. Now the refreshed SUV will become the most expensive model in the Russian line. Sales of the new product will begin in a week, on December 14.

An updated version of Exeed VX with the addition of an International Edition has reached the Russian market — this option is already sold in China, in addition, it is intended for export. The updated SUV is visually different from the Russian pre-reform crossover due to a larger radiator grille with a different design — there are more horizontal stripes, as well as a modified front bumper with differently designed fog lights.

The restyled Exeed VX in the Russian Federation will be offered with a cabin designed for either seven or six riders. The updated version has a new interior, which is designed in the style of Mercedes models. Thus, the crossover received a new front panel with three displays located under one glass, while the pre-reform version had a common display with two screens. In the center there is a 15.6-inch infotainment system tablet with a Qualcomm 8155 microchip and an over-the-air update function, while the diagonal of the virtual instrument panel and passenger touchscreen is 12.3 inches.

The restyled SUV has central ventilation deflectors located on top of the displays. The air conditioning system no longer has a separate control unit: settings can be changed using the central touchscreen. The refreshed Exeed VX also has a new multifunction steering wheel with touch buttons, and gear shifting is carried out using the right steering column lever. The central tunnel now has a box covered with a curtain.

Like Mercedes, the seat adjustment controls for the new VX are located on the doors. The list of equipment for the Russian version of the crossover also includes ten airbags, front seats with a massage function, active noise reduction technology, a parking assistant, and an all-round viewing system with a “transparent chassis” function.

During the restyling of the Exeed VX, they left the petrol 2.0-liter turbo-four, which in Russian specification produces 249 hp . power and 385 Nm of torque. But now the engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission from Aisin, which replaced the seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. The rear axle is connected to the new, sixth generation BorgWarner electro-hydraulic coupling. In addition, new driving modes Eco, Standard and Sport have been added — Snow, Mud, Sand and Off-Road.
