Exclusive details of the rescue of paratrooper “Babka” have been revealed: they were carried out only the second time

The medic spoke about the condition of the found soldier: “I was delirious all the time.”

Details of the story of the rescue of the paratrooper with the call sign “Granny” on Friday, December 15, were told by soldiers of the 1441st regiment. Even after discovering a soldier who spent 10 days in a trench with a wounded “susushnik”, the regiment’s military had to wait until nightfall to save the seriously wounded warrior.

Let us remind you that the story of the rescue of a 31-year-old fighter with the call sign “Babka”, which became known earlier this week, shocked all of Russia. The fighter was seriously wounded during the assault on Ukrainian oporniks near Bakhmut. The soldier received back injuries during enemy artillery fire. After that battle, the warrior was considered missing.

However, the Russian soldier, despite severe wounds, was able to survive. For ten days he was without food – in order not to die from dehydration, he made snowballs and ate them. Due to the wound, he could not move on his feet and could only crawl.

The story is also interesting because the soldier spent some time in a trench with an equally wounded enemy soldier, who later died. Initially, there was information that our fighter helped the “dry man”, but “Granny” said that it was not entirely true.

    – I did not help him, because his leg was already dry. And he helped me – he bandaged the holes that were caused by shrapnel… When I was bleeding, I thought that my time had come. But God didn’t let me die,” the fighter said.

Journalists were able to find soldiers who discovered the fighter, who was on the verge of death at that time, and helped him evacuate. It is known that four people took part in the evacuation.

-We had the task of entering the position, into one dugout. The two of us went into this dugout, the 300th was there (the wounded man – “MK”), we could not evacuate him. We moved away. They told their superiors that there were 300 there. We got out and then the four of us went to evacuate,” one of the soldiers who participated in the operation to rescue “Babka” told reporters.

At one o'clock in the morning, the soldiers came out again to pick up the wounded soldier, but they could not do this right away – the enemy began to strike at the evacuation group.

    – We had to retreat into the forest again and hide there. And we waited until about three in the morning. Then they moved out again and were able to pick him up humanly without shelling,” said one of the soldiers.

The medic who saved “Babka” spoke about the deplorable condition of the soldier, whom everyone considered dead:

-His consciousness was either clear or delirious. Because he was without food or water for a very long time and, of course, it was impossible to have a normal conversation with him.

Only in their dugout did the guys find out that they had saved the one whom the others considered dead.

    – We arrived, put the wounded man in one dugout, and flew into another for 10 minutes to catch our breath. The guys ask: “Who did you bring?” We say: “Granny.” They say: “So this is ours. Let us help you.” Three times they already considered him the 200th (killed – “MK”), when they laid down the tapes, the soldiers said.

According to the soldiers, all the time that the operation to rescue the paratrooper was going on, they prayed.< /p>

    – I only asked God to convey it. Just so that he stays alive, nothing more. “And I don’t know what else I feel,” said one of the soldiers.

“I also prayed for the first time in six months,” confirmed the medic of the evacuation team.

By the way, on Friday, December 15 , it also became known that the fighter will most likely have frostbitten legs – on Monday doctors did not give any prognosis. Now the risk of leg amputation has been reduced to a minimum.
