“When Ilznaz did what he did shooting, I realized that committing mass murder is much more profitable than serial killing,” he said.

He also wrote approvingly of Russian school shooter Alina Afanaskina, who he said “helped me too much.” The 14-year-old schoolgirl shot another student and wounded five others with her father's pump-action shotgun, then turned a gun on herself in the city of Bryansk earlier this month.

Kozak during the shootout at the University of Prague “Introverted type”

Kozak, of course, dressed in black and armed with a rifle, seems to fit the profile lone shooter.

The student had no criminal record, but as a legal gun owner, he was interested in guns.

Kozak traveled 13 miles from his home to Prague to lecture at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. Apparently, he lived in the central Bohemian village of Hostun with his father in a large family house.

“He was an introverted type, strange, probably like any other nerd,” one of the residents told local media.

“The family seemed normal. We visited their cottage many years ago. His father was my boss, and they were friends outside of work, including his wife.”

What exactly happened on the morning of December 21 is still unclear. It is established that Kozak killed his father before leaving for Prague.

Czech police learned that he was heading to the capital and planned to commit suicide.

    Crazy Ambitions

Suicide featured prominently in Kozak's posts on social networks, where he poured out his darkest thoughts.

He was due to attend a lecture at 14:00 and opened fire shortly before 15:00.

In the bloodshed that followed, he fulfilled his insane ambition to become a mass murderer.

When the police rushed towards him, he is said to have turned the gun on himself and caused what was described as 'devastating' injury after shootout with officers.
