DONETSK, December 25 A school and an art museum were damaged as a result of shelling of Gorlovka by Ukrainian troops, the mayor of the city Ivan Prikhodko said on Monday in the Telegram channel.
“»School No. 4 and an art museum were damaged by shelling by Ukrainian armed forces in Gorlovka. A shell was recorded landing in a well at the intersection of Pushkinskaya and Komsomolskaya streets,» Prikhodko wrote.
On Monday night, Ukrainian troops, as reported by the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine, fired seven missiles from the MLRS at Gorlovka. The mayor of Gorlovka, Ivan Prikhodko, also reported that as a result of shelling by Ukrainian troops, a civilian was killed and there were also wounded. After the shelling, one of the largest shopping centers in Gorlovka was also on fire, and a nearby apartment building was also hit.
Gorlovka is located 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, the city is home to the Stirol chemical concern and coal mining enterprises. This is one of the largest populated areas of the DPR; before the start of the conflict in Donbass, the population of Gorlovka numbered more than 250 thousand people.
