The press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Republic of Khakassia reported that a resident of Divnogorsk was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder a 16-year-old girl.

According to investigators, in July of this year the accused, being in a state of alcohol addiction, came to the viaduct located on Gidrostroiteley Street in the city of Divnogorsk.

There the man wanted to attack at passers-by and rob them. At some point, the man noticed the girl and decided to attack her.

“Threatening to kill, he took the girl into the forest. He took her bag and then committed sexual assault. After that, he squeezed her neck with his hands and hit her in the neck area several times with a broken bottle. The girl died at the scene,” noted the Investigative Committee.

As a result, the court found him guilty of murder associated with robbery and violent acts of a sexual nature, violent acts of a sexual nature combined with a threat to kill, robbery committed in relation to a minor.
