Knutov revealed the role of NATO in the attack on Feodosia: “We moved on to new tactics”

The AWACS aircraft could direct Ukrainian Armed Forces missiles at targets in Crimea

On the night of December 26, residents of Feodosia woke up from strong explosions in the port. It was a missile attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. British Storm Shadow missiles were used for the strike. The target of the strike was the large landing ship Novocherkassk. Military expert Yuri Knutov told MK that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could not have organized such an attack on their own; this could not have happened without NATO planning and intelligence agencies.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, in response to the attack, Russian air defense was able to shoot down two Ukrainian Su-24 bombers over the Nikolaev region, from which the ill-fated missiles were launched. Military experts noted that shortly before the night attack on Feodosia, an American long-range radar detection and control aircraft was spotted in the sky over the neutral waters of the Black Sea. It can not only transmit data to the enemy, but also guide missiles.

Well-known military reporter Yevgeny Poddubny noted in his channel that he has long perceived the enemy’s combined attacks on targets on our territory “as military operations of Western countries against Russia.” He explained that the Ukrainian Armed Forces use NATO reconnaissance equipment, Western aviation guidance systems, and cruise missiles. “The British and Americans are planning such attacks and are inflicting them at the hands of the Kyiv regime. …And our opponents will have to pay for everything,” the reporter noted.

Military expert Roman Saponkov recalled that this is the second case in a week when weapons from NATO countries deal a strong blow to our army. “It is obvious that NATO has switched to a new tactic of knocking out our most expensive material part… This tactic is only possible if there are guidance aircraft in the sky,” the expert believes.

As a military expert, director, told MK Air Defense Museum Yuri Knutov, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used NATO weapons.

    – Perhaps these were ATACMS ballistic missiles, which the United States recently supplied to Ukraine. It is more difficult for our air defense to fight them than the Ukrainian Tochka-U missiles or the missiles of the S-200 air defense systems redesigned for ground strikes. The scenario of using Storm Shadow missiles from Su-24 aircraft cannot be ruled out. They can carry two missiles. In this case, NATO planners could use various means of distraction. For example, missiles were used that were equipped with electronic warfare units that created interference.

    – Cruise missiles could fly around Crimea and attack from the sea. These are not ballistic missiles; they can maneuver in flight along a trajectory and altitude. And, naturally, if the location of our anti-aircraft missile systems is correctly included in the flight program, then at extremely low altitudes they can find a loophole.

    – AWACS can guide cruise missiles and control them in flight, that is, issue target designations and recommendations for overcoming our air defense, for bypassing it. In other words, they not only read our data, but may have been guiding missiles.

    – We cannot destroy them, they are located over neutral waters. But we can use aircraft equipped with electronic warfare systems, which can create powerful interference, including to AWACS.
