MOSCOW, December 29Roscosmos General Director Yuri Borisov congratulated his colleagues on the upcoming New Year and expressed confidence that all difficulties will be overcome, and Russian cosmonautics will once again prove to the whole world that nothing is impossible.
“I am confident that we will continue to successfully overcome the inevitable difficulties that arise in such a difficult matter as space exploration, and again prove to ourselves and the whole world that nothing is impossible,” Borisov said in his New Year’s greetings to industry employees. According to him, the year ending 2023 was not easy, but very important. Roscosmos is actively implementing a program to create serial production of satellites, the head of the state corporation emphasized, and is also developing a project for a future national orbital station and returning to the study of deep space.

In 2023, the project of the new Russian Orbital Station (ROS) received approval, the launch complex for Angara rockets on Vostochny was tested, a new selection for the Russian cosmonaut corps took place (the results will be in March 2024) , and also Russia, for the first time in almost 50 years, launched an automatic interplanetary station to the Moon, the flight of which, however, ended in failure.
