MOSCOW, January 1 Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC ) in two weight categories, Irishman Conor McGregor said that he will fight against American Michael Chandler on June 29 in Las Vegas.
It was previously reported that McGregor could fight Chandler in December; the athletes were coaches in the reality show The Ultimate Fighter 31. The fight was supposed to take place in the lightweight division.
““The greatest comeback in the history of sports. Las Vegas, June 29, my opponent will be Michael Chandler, and the fight will take place at middleweight,” the Irishman said in a video published on the social network X.
McGregor is 35 years old. He has 22 wins and 6 losses; he previously held UFC championship belts in the lightweight and featherweight divisions. 37-year-old Chandler won 23 victories and suffered 8 defeats.
