A device with which one can quickly and effectively stabilize the emotional state was developed by scientists from the Saratov National Research State University named after Chernyshevsky. It helps relieve stress with the help of soothing sounds of nature (the sound of leaves, sounds of water and surf, etc.), as well as the sounds that a child hears in the womb.

The principle of operation of the device is quite simple: pre-recorded sounds of nature are supplied to the headphones placed in the patient’s helmet, and in parallel with them — the sounds of the heartbeat, breathing, gastrointestinal tract, the noise of blood movement through the vessels, the mother’s voice, that is, sounds which a child hears before birth. Thus, the person undergoing therapy is immersed in the earliest period of his life, when he was an embryo. Another fundamental difference from known sound therapy methods is the feedback unit: while listening, special sensors read the person’s reaction to what he hears. This allows you to make individual selections of sounds for each patient.

As one of the authors of the development, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Olga Cherkasova, told MK, tests of the new device took place in one of the sanatoriums in the Leningrad region. Practice has shown that its use makes it possible to reduce the medication load by 1.5-2 times in such chronic diseases as hypertension, epilepsy, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children and adolescents, migraine, bronchial asthma, etc. And more than 60% of patients We were able to stop taking medications altogether. Recovery time is reduced by 2-5 times.

So far, only experimental models of the device have been created, so its introduction into production will have to wait.
