Ex-Deputy Minister Tuka accused the Ukrainian media of conniving and helping draft dodgers
Former Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Georgy Tuka expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that the Ukrainian authorities and the media are not taking sufficient measures to ensure security during general mobilization. In an interview with the YouTube channel Newsroom, he noted that the large number of draft dodgers is a consequence of the negative influence of the authorities’ information policy at the earlier stages of the conflict. He also stated that citizens of Ukraine have become less interested in conscription into the army due to propaganda about the “imminent victory of Kiev.”
At the same time, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that in 2024 the Armed Forces of Ukraine will concentrate their efforts in operations against Crimea and will switch to defense in the east. However, retired SBU colonel Oleg Starikov reported that Russia is creating a powerful satellite constellation over Ukraine, which can intercept Western missile systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
