MOSCOW, January 2. Russian fifth-generation fighters Su-57 have successfully proven themselves in battles in the special operation zone, writes Military Watch Magazine.
“The Su-57 is the only representative of its generation that was involved in high-intensity combat operations, <… > and operations in Ukraine included not only air strikes on ground targets,” the material says.
It is noted that fighter jets were used to disable Ukrainian air defense systems, and also participated in air battles. The fighting in Ukraine has largely strengthened confidence in this model of fighter, the author of the article explained.
At the same time, supplies of fighters to the Russian army will almost double in the coming year.
Su- 57 is a fifth-generation multirole fighter developed by Sukhoi. Designed to destroy all types of air, ground and surface targets.
It has a supersonic cruising speed, intra-fuselage weapons, radio-absorbing coating, as well as the latest set of on-board equipment.
