The bestseller of the Czech brand will have a slightly more aggressive appearance, and a new multimedia system will probably appear in the cabin.
The Skoda Octavia has been in its current fourth generation since 2019. The model remains the brand’s bestseller, and it definitely finished the past year in the black on the global market. So, if in 2022, after Skoda left Russia, global sales of Octavia decreased by 30% to approximately 141,100 units, then according to the results of three quarters of 2023, approximately 145,000 liftbacks and station wagons were already sold worldwide (+36 %; statistics for the entire 2023 will appear a little later). And now the time has come for a planned restyling: the company posted a short video teaser with a refreshed Octavia on its pages on social networks.

Apparently, the main new thing will be the head optics. The headlights will retain their shape, but they will have additional sections of running lights: these sections will be made in the form of beveled stripes a la Peugeot. In addition, the diode filling will be replaced. Well, the bumpers and radiator grille will probably also be retouched. In general, the restyled Skoda Octavia will look more aggressive than the current model.
A new multimedia system is expected to be installed in the cabin — larger tablets will be provided for the Octavia (current five-door cars have screens with a diagonal of 8 to 10 inches). They can also modernize the virtual tidy and climate control unit, plus refresh the finishing materials.

It is assumed that in Europe the Skoda Octavia will continue to be available with petrol turbo-three 1.0 TSI, turbo-four 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TSI, as well as a turbodiesel 2.0 TDI. At the same time, the model may well acquire a mild-hybrid makeweight. Well, the full-fledged rechargeable hybrid Octavia iV, following the rest of the gas-electric models of the Volkswagen concern, will switch to a 1.5 TSI turbo engine (the installation of the pre-reform hybrid Skoda is based on the 1.4 TSI).
The premiere of the updated Skoda Octavia is scheduled for February of this year .
