The organizers didn't miss a trick by placing Cristiano Ronaldo (right) next to Conor McGregor (left). Photo: Richard Pelham/Getty Images < p>Anyone sitting next to a stupid uncle or meddling son-in-law this Christmas will feel for Cristiano Ronaldo, who found himself the target of Conor McGregor's ringside chatter at the heavyweight boxing 'Day of Reckoning' event in Ayr -Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Organizers didn't miss a trick by seating the mixed martial arts legend next to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who now works for Saudi football team Al Nasr. This is, of course, apart from the fact that McGregor's name was spelled correctly with an 'n' added for good measure.
It soon became apparent that the pair's conversation was far from even, and the Irishman was keen to pass on pearls of wisdom to Ronaldo martial arts, such as: «It's a small ring!»
UNREAL SCENES! 🤩

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player initially looked like he would rather be somewhere else, although he finally cracked a smile as McGregor's stream of consciousness analysis came to an end.
Living up to his reputation for good taste and sophistication, McGregor then grabbed Ronaldo's wrist in an apparent attempt to compare designer watches.
The Riyadh seating plan could create further entertainment as rival promoter Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren also are planning to face each other.
In this unprecedented bill, heavyweight rivals Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder, although not facing each other, will take center stage. Following the rearrangement of the fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, Hearn and Warren put their differences aside to stage a 'historic' series of fights on Saturday night.
Joshua will face Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia and is determined to do well. he's made it three wins out of three in 2023, having already defeated Jermaine Franklin Jr. by unanimous decision in April and then recording a seventh-round knockout against Robert Helenius in August for his 26th win of his professional career. Wilder will fight Joseph Parker, and there is the prospect of a date between Joshua and Wilder if both win.
